Privacy

What we collect

• Account data. Your email address, and the name and handle you choose to show on your profile.
• Submission data. Everything you type into the submit form, plus any files you upload.
• Newsletter data. Your email address and which issues you opened, so we can tell whether the newsletter is worth writing.
• Analytics. Page views, referrers and coarse country, stored against a rotating hash rather than a persistent identifier.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data, run advertising networks, or embed third-party trackers. There are no cookies beyond the session cookie that keeps you signed in and the one storing your theme choice.

Processors

Supabase hosts the database and authentication in the EU. Stripe processes payments for featured listings and receives only what it needs to take the payment. Email is sent from our own infrastructure.

Retention

Analytics events are aggregated after 90 days and the raw rows deleted. Account data is kept until you delete your account. Published listings stay up after account deletion unless you ask us to remove them, because links elsewhere point at them.

Your rights

You can export or delete everything associated with your account from the account settings page, or by writing to privacy@buildmates.dev. We answer within seven days. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
