Using Buildmates

Buildmates is a public directory of software products. You may browse it without an account. An account is needed to submit a product, upvote, or manage a listing. You are responsible for anything done under your account.

Submitting a product

You may only submit a product you built or are authorised to represent. By submitting, you grant us a licence to display the name, description, logo, screenshots and links you provide, and to include them in the newsletter and social posts about the board.

• The link must resolve to a working product, not a waitlist page with nothing behind it.
• No affiliate links, tracking parameters or redirect chains.
• No content that is illegal, deceptive, or built primarily to harass people.
• One listing per product. Substantially new versions may be resubmitted.

Submissions are published immediately without prior review. We may remove a listing at our discretion after the fact if it breaks the rules above. If we remove a paid featured listing for a reason that is not your fault, we refund it in full.

Featured placement

Featured placement costs $150 as a one-off payment per product. It provides homepage placement for seven days from publication, a featured badge, priority position in the launch feed, and inclusion in the next weekly newsletter. It does not affect trending rank, and it is not an endorsement. Payment is due before placement begins and is refundable up until the listing is published.

Votes and abuse

One account, one vote per product. Vote manipulation — multiple accounts, paid votes, automated traffic — results in removal of the listing without refund.

Availability

The service is provided as is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous twelve months.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced in the newsletter at least fourteen days before they take effect. Questions go to hey@buildmates.dev.
